The Ex libris piccola grafica (Ex Libris – Small Size Graphic Works) Prize has chosen to award a single, indivisible prize because its goal is to promote the discipline, not to establish a ranking. Whichever the verdict, it will be given by a jury which, however competent and authoritative, is the expression of a moment, a place, a tradition.
A prize based on invitations, that are inevitably limited, has already recognized the excellence of the artists invited. I am sure that this conviction is shared by the artists that accepted our invitation.
